HUT 3 is proud to partner with the Northampton Saints Foundation for the next three years, continuing the long-standing legacy of youth support established by Northampton Saints Rugby Football Club. Founded in 1880 by Reverend Samuel Wathen Wigg, the club was originally a “boys improvement class” aimed at helping troubled youth through the game of rugby. This early commitment to youth engagement laid the groundwork for the club’s ongoing mission to inspire and uplift young people.
Over the years, the club has expanded its efforts through initiatives like The Study Centre, which supports schools in Northamptonshire by boosting young people’s motivation and self-esteem through sport. Programmes such as Rewards Days, Holiday Clubs, and Match Day Experiences have furthered this mission. In 2012, the Saints introduced the HITZ programme, designed to help young people not in education, employment, or training (NEET) through rugby’s core values. This was followed by the Engage programme in 2015, aimed at students at risk of exclusion. The success of these initiatives led to the formal establishment of the Northampton Saints Foundation in 2018, uniting all youth-focused programmes under one mission: to continue Wigg’s vision of positive youth development.
As a financial entity independent from the Club, the Foundation relies on donations and fundraising to sustain its wide-reaching efforts, which are dedicated to making a lasting impact on young people’s lives and their communities. HUT 3 is excited to contribute to this cause, not only through financial support but by engaging with the community to deliver meaningful change.
On a more hands-on level, HUT 3 will host a Staff Workshop, where our team will share insights into how AI can streamline and enhance workflows, particularly in Marketing and Communications. We also plan to run a Student Workshop for those aged 16 and above, introducing them to AI, marketing, and communications, while highlighting career paths that don’t necessarily require a degree. In addition, we will offer Basic AI Training for students 16+ and provide Work Experience opportunities to give students practical exposure to professional environments, from client interactions to managing a typical workweek.
Through this partnership, HUT 3 aims to inspire young people, helping them build confidence, develop essential life skills, and pursue brighter futures.
